Upcoming Course Offerings

As our Learning Journeys program continues to evolve, we appreciate your participation and engagement in our learning community. We are excited to provide both new and familiar learning opportunities in 2024.

Our flagship courses: The STEPPSI and The SpIRiT

Self-Paced Learning Opportunities

The self-paced versions of The STEPPSI and The SpIRiT courses will be available throughout 2024. We hope this change allows for increased participation and reflects past requests for more opportunities/flexibility in scheduling. Learners will have access to the pre-recorded course videos and associated learning materials for 120 days (~4 months) from the date of enrollment. Additional information can be found on the respective course webpage- click on the links below

Ps- While there is no wrong way to engage in our courses or utilize the associated clinical reasoning tools, we would gently recommend taking The STEPPSI course first and The SpIRiT second if you are looking for guidance or where to begin.

Cohort Learning Opportunities

The cohort models of these flagship courses allow for participants to dive deeper into the learning materials, engage with fellow clinicians through our online community platform, and participate in live, cohort meetings with Tracy.  We truly believe that learning in community fosters a richer, more integrated learning experience. The group meetings will be recorded, but cohort members are strongly encouraged to participate in the live format. Please note that we will have a cap on cohort enrollment in order to ensure a quality learning experience.

  • The STEPPSI 2024 Cohort will launch on February 1st, 2024 and wrap up on April 5th, 2024.
    • There will be three live meetings for this cohort to reflect the three sections of the course. Dates/ Times will be shared ASAP.
  • The SpIRiT Cohort will take place in Fall 2024. Dates TBD

If you have a group of learners (5 or more) that would like to take The STEPPSI or The SpIRIT together as a private cohort, please reach out to [email protected] and we can discuss further details.

In Person Learning Opportunities

We also are excited to share that we have resumed in person course offerings. If you have a group of clinicians that would like to host Tracy for a continuing education opportunity, please contact [email protected] to receive additional information.

Tracy will be traveling all over the world in 2024 to share her knowledge and engage with learners. We will share opportunities open to the public below, but make sure to follow @developmentalfx and @tracy.stackhouse on Instagram for course announcements, snippets of learning, and more.

Upcoming, in person events:

  • March 9-10, 2024: The STEPPSI, 2 day live course in NYC. Details will be announced soon

Joining You on Your Learning Journey...

Tracy Murnan Stackhouse has been studying and practicing pediatric occupational therapy for over 35 years.

As is true for most of us, she was drawn to the field because of a love of children and the belief in the infinite possibility of childhood.

As clinicians, we want to use our gifts to help heal and bring about each child's joyful full potential. Once we enter practice, we may be, to varying degrees or at varying times, overwhelmed at all it seems there is to know in order to be effective. This is where the DFX Learning Journeys program comes from - the passion for making clinical reasoning and neuroscience accessible for all of us.

The power of our connection and intention are keys to, in Dr. Ayres' words, "evincing adaptive responses" -- which result in the type of therapy we envision and strive to provide.

Clinical reasoning, grounded in our amazingly rich theories, approaches, and neuroscience, sets us up for clear intention and allows for our connected presence and brings us full circle back to why each of us became a therapist in the first place. It's also the juice that keeps it exciting, interesting, and compelling for the long term.

Thank you for the music!

Generosity is a Gift of Spirit! With immense gratitude, we thank Colm Mac Con Iomaire for generously allowing us to utilize his music throughout the courses shared here. It is our hope to share his music and create a special moment of joy and celebration of true artistry and the Irish spirit as inspiration! https://www.colmmacconiomaire.com/
